Volunteen Program at Corpus Christi Campus
Exceptional Teens, ages 14 through 17, energize Driscoll Children's Hospital all day during the summer and throughout the school year on evenings and weekends. The Volunteen Program is a great learning opportunity for mature, responsible young people.
The Summer Volunteen program is for teens who want to volunteer in areas that are essential to the functioning of Driscoll Children’s Hospital. Areas teens volunteer in throughout the summer include the Carousel Gift Shop, the Carousel Connection, Information Desk, Room Service, the Cottage Shop, and Health Information Management (Medical Records) just to name a few. Teen applicants must be 14 years of age by January 1st of the summer in which they are applying for. Teens must complete the Summer Volunteen Program in order to be considered for a year round position. Students interested in the summer program should contact the Volunteer Department for information beginning January 1st of each year.
The teen program is very popular so be sure to apply early and beat the April 15th deadline. We hope to hear from you soon.
Due to our strict infection control and confidentiality policies, teens are placed in areas that have limited patient contact.
