(Corpus Christi, TX) Take aim! The Six Points Kiwanis Club is proud to announce the 10th Annual Skeet Shoot, a benefit skeet shooting round-robin tournament. Open to beginners to advanced rifleman, the event will take place Saturday, September 2, 2006 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Corpus Christi Pistol and Rifle Club. The cost is $50 per person and includes two rounds of skeet shooting and lunch. The day will also include a live auction, a raffle, and door prize giveaways. 100% of the proceeds will support kids with cancer going to Camp Star Trails.

“The skeet shoot provides an opportunity for us to raise funds for some of the children at Driscoll,” says Bob Gorman, Six Points Kiwanis Club Fundraising Chairman. “Camp Star Trails gives kids the opportunity to horseback ride, swim, fish, hike, as well as learn archery, riflery, arts and crafts, drama, and music. They can even go to a summer camp dance.”

Last year, there were 40 shooters, and in the past there have been as many as 60, participated generating proceeds which sent 20 Driscoll kids to Camp Star Trails.

The 10th Annual Benefit Skeet Shoot is sponsored by the Six Points Kiwanis Club, Bank of America, First Community Bank, Wells Fargo, Woodhouse Day Spa, and Don Kersting. The Six Points Kiwanis Club’s mission is to improve the quality of life for children and families in the Coastal Bend area.
