(Corpus Christi, TX) Call out for all Driscoll NICU Graduates!!! This upcoming event is a wonderful opportunity for former patients of the NICU to meet on hospital grounds for a fun party and visit with the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who cared for them and their children during their stay at the hospital. It is Free and open to former Driscoll NICU babies and their families. Driscoll’s 2003 NICU Reunion will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2003 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. in Driscoll Children’s Hospital’s own front lawn at 3533 S. Alameda in Corpus Christi.

Doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for Driscoll patients will be on-hand to converse and share stories of what these wonderful patients have been doing since their stay at Driscoll, possibly many years ago. In addition, food, fun, and games will also entertain reunion-goers.

More than 20,000 babies have been cared for in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Driscoll Children's Hospital, since opening doors in 1953. Today, Driscoll’s comprehensive team of pediatric professionals such as neonatologists, pediatric nurses, pediatric respiratory therapists, and pediatric dietitians continue to provide this legacy of caring and compassion. In addition, Driscoll now has Neonatologists in the hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the highest quality care for these young, fragile, and very special patients.
