Texas State Aquarium

Texas State AquariumThe visitor's experience begins at the entrance plazas which depict whales, rays, dolphins, sharks, and the Gulf of Mexico itself. Guests enter the building by walking under a "waterfall" representing a full submersion into the Gulf of Mexico. Volunteer guides are stationed throughout the Aquarium to explain exhibits and answer questions.

The visitor not only travels an aquatic journey from the shore to the depths of the Gulf, but also has the opportunity to observe dive shows and feeding demonstrations and have a "hands on" experience with sharks and stingrays.

The Texas State Aquarium also offers daily educational programs and SeaCamp, a marine science day camp with one-week sessions for children ages 6 to 15. It is a fun and entertaining undersea family adventure that keeps the wonder alive!
