Medical Students

We have ten third-year medical students per month from two different medical schools in the state of Texas. These two programs utilize Driscoll Children's Hospital as their primary teaching site for inpatient and outpatient pediatrics.

Fourth Year Pediatric Electives


Driscoll Children's Hospital also offers elective rotations for fourth-year medical students from any medical school in the United States. All elective requests are taken on a first-come basis. All electives require approval from the attending in charge of the rotation and the Director of Medical Student Education.

HOUSING, MEALS & PARKING for 4th YEAR MEDICAL STUDENTS


Driscoll Children's Hospital has some available housing for 4th year medical students on a limited basis. Students will also receive free parking and a meal allowance for three meals a day/seven days a week. If you need assistance with housing during your elective, please contact the Medical Student Coordinator for additional information at (361) 694-4069.
